7th of May 2023, I started releasing music under the alias Softboy7 by dropping my debut album "welcome to the void".
I ignored all the advice other people gave me. Some of my friends told me that this project would be a "bad idea" but I didn't listen.
Now, 2 years later, I have a small but dedicated fanbase, 700K+ streams across all platforms, a ton of new friends, and I even played a small show in poland in the beginning of the year!
I've never been as proud of anything else in my life because I created music that actually represents who I am and what I stand for. That alone is already a big achievement for me, but the fact that people like it more than anything else I've made before makes me incredibly grateful.
The Newgrounds and Geometry Dash communities also played a big role in all that.
Countless Geometry Dash creators used my music in their levels, and we even got to 5 featured levels with my music.
Having people spend hours- sometimes days, to create something with my music is a very big honour to me, and I felt like giving back to the community.
That's why I have a big section in my 2-year special video where I give shoutouts to 8 geometry dash levels with my music + 6 additional mentions:
Ever since I created this artist name I dreamed of playing my tracks live infront of a crowd and now that dream comes to reality! The event is hosted by a friend and the earnings will go to charity.
I just wanted to take the chance and thank the Newgrounds community specifically.
Backstory:
Softboy7 is my most personal project and people told me it was a bad idea to start this alias & release an album.
But I did it anyway and I'm very glad that I did!
Over the 5 months, I worked on the album, and during the hour-long photoshoots that I did by myself with a self-constructed "photo studio" in my parent's living room, I was well aware that all of this could lead to nothing but I was still willing to take the risk because this is a passion project!
Once the Album was posted I eventually tried to upload it on Newgrounds as well, which didn't work because they needed to check if I had the rights to do so. Shortly after that I received a Twitter DM from Tom Fulp himself, confirming that it was me. He also told me that he was looking forward to featuring some of my music on NG which was a huge honour for me!
In the end, lots of my works got featured here which helped me massively in my career as a music artist.

In my last post I mentioned that I wasn't doing well.
I went through a really hard time in life and wasn't able to get out of a difficult situation.
until now!! :)
I moved out from home into my own apartment, started making new friends and even found love.
My mental health has improved so much, and I'm also very creative and productive when it comes to music!
I'm looking forward to continuing my journey as a full-time musician and inspiring people to be themselves.
So yeah, this is my comeback - I just released my track "Spacewave", a track that I created with all my passion and love, and I will release 2 more tracks (both collabs) this month!
